The Woodland Road trail provides an ideal short stroll through forest tracks for walkers of all levels.

This is a charming walk through one of the more secretive areas of Glendalough. It weaves through mixed, dappled woodlands into neighbouring Glendasan Valley. Although it may not provide the same magnificent views as the other walks, it is still one of the moat pleasurable walks on the trail because you feel protected and warmed by the towering woodland trees.

Directions
Leave the information office, turn right and continue along this track as it turns a bend sweeping to the right. Soon it will veer to the left. Here, turn sharply right past the education centre. Continue on to Glendasan Valley where the trail follows the river back towards Glendalough. Eventually it will join up with the boardwalk which runs through the Lower Lake wetlands. Finish here or continue on to the Upper Lake.
